For our expanding team in Albania, we are looking for a candidate to fill out the role of:
Applications Operation Consultant
Job Location: Tirana, Albania
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Release Management:
- Coordinate the release of new applications, features, and product versions, as well as software anomaly resolutions.
- Plan release activities in alignment with customer requirements.
- Verify release feasibility and conduct post-release checks to ensure proper functioning.
- Operational Support and Monitoring:
- Conduct end-to-end tests with customers post-release.
- Monitor application performance and conduct proactive maintenance tasks.
- Manage database and middleware tuning activities.
- Installation and Configuration:
- Install, configure, and update application software as needed.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of core products essential for application operations.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Produce periodic reports on service trends and performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Incident Management and Resolution:
- Respond to alerts and incidents promptly, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with technical support teams and developers to address software anomalies.
- Security and Compliance:
- Manage security certificates and ensure compliance with logging standards.
- Participate in audits and certifications, addressing any findings as required.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Implement best practices for data management and governance.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficient in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server database management systems.
- Familiarity with IBM Datastage, Oracle Golden Gate, and SQL Server Integration Services for ETL processes.
- Experience with IBM TWS/IWS for job scheduling.
- Working knowledge of Unix-like or Linux distributions and various versions of Windows Server.
- Proficiency in Unix or Linux shell scripting, as well as Batch scripting in DOS.
- Fluent in Italian language, at least at level B proficiency.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with IBM Netezza database platform.
- Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, MS Internet Integration Services, and Oracle WebLogic Server for application server management.
- Knowledge of OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition), SQL Server Reporting/Analysis Services, MS PowerBI, and MS SharePoint for reporting and analytics.
- Familiarity with Oracle Warehouse Builder for data warehouse management.
