Remote Senior UI/UX Lead Designer

If you are a proven UX/UI Designer with a passion for developing responsive intuitive UI designs, and creating an engaging user experience, then this is the job for you. You would work as part of an international team, colaborating with cross-functional teams as part of the development efforts for one of our North American clients.

 What you will be doing:

• Responsible for leading the design and development of user interfaces for web and mobile applications. 
• Conduct user research and testing, create wireframes, prototypes and mockups to effectively communicate design concept
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Frontend, and Backend Developers to ensure a seamless user experience
• Evaluate and set best practices and standards, including accessibility practices and measuring human-computer interaction
• Obtaining a solid understanding of the business domain and processes, and driving experience design activities to improve customer and stakeholder understanding
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to inform and improve design decisions, establishing and promoting design guidelines, accessibility best practices and standards.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, accessibility best practices and standards
• Mentor and lead junior designers on the team

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, or related fields
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to users needs and business goals
• Proficiency in one or more design tools, including Figma, Sketch, InVision, InVision DSM, Photoshop, Illustrator, and wire-framing tools such as Axure
• Experience with user testing tools, such as Usertesting.com, and not limited to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• In depth understanding and experience utilizing Design Thinking methodology and Human-Computer Interaction / Interaction Design.
• Experience in creating persona, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
• Excellent communication, teamwork and effective problem solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, for designing experiences that fit the needs of the engineering teams and platforms. Not to do it but to know why/how to design for it.
