Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform general database administration and maintenance.
• Develop processes for ensuring database security.
• Performance tuning of database systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
• Create automation for repeating database tasks.
• Perform query optimization tasks.
• Develop complex MS SQL Server and Oracle scripts and perform database archiving tasks based on customers’ unique requirements.
• Perform Oracle to SQL migrations and vice versa.
• Perform database schema comparisons, comparing a reference schema to actual in-use schemas.
• Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and QA teams to resolve database issues affecting application modules.
• Communicate effectively with management.
• Develop good working relationships with internal teams. 

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience working in a DBA capacity.
• Advanced experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle 12c - 19c
• Advanced command of SQL and Oracle server tools
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backup, recovery, patching and performance monitoring standards.
• Experience using tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking to resolve issues.
• Positive, proactive, take charge attitude and attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines for multiple, concurrent projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• PowerShell experience for SQL Server and Azure is a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
