Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize monitoring systems, including threshold setting and custom alerting
- Improve system performance, stability, and reliability across critical platforms
- Contribute to High Availability (HA) and failover architecture improvements
- Collaborate with a cross-functional infrastructure team to support platform scalability
- Automate provisioning and deployment of customer environments
- Ensure observability tooling (monitoring, logging, metrics) is in place for all environments
- Research and implement tools that improve team efficiency and deployment speed
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide incident response support when needed
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering within large-scale, production-grade environments
- Proficiency in Python or Go
- Strong shell scripting skills (e.g., Bash)
- Solid understanding of Linux system administration (Debian preferred, but any distro is fine)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, SaltStack, or Ansible
- Familiarity with HashiCorp tools (Vault, Nomad, Consul)
- Experience with private cloud infrastructure and virtualization (e.g., OpenStack, VMs)
- Understanding of distributed systems and messaging platforms like Kafka
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Strong grasp of observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus
- Deep troubleshooting skills and system-level debugging experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies
